一帶一路是共建“絲綢之路經濟帶”和“21世紀海上絲綢之路”倡議的簡單表述。2013年9月和10月，中國國家主席習近平在出訪中亞和東南亞國家期間，先后提出共建“絲綢之路經濟帶”和“21世紀海上絲綢之路”的重大倡議。并開始被簡稱為共建“一帶一路”倡議。2015年3月28日，經國務院授權，國家發展和改革委員會、外交部、商務部聯合發布了《推動共建絲綢之路經濟帶和21世紀海上絲綢之路的愿景與行動》；2017年5月，推進“一帶一路”領導小組辦公室宣布了《共建“一帶一路”：理念、實踐與中國的貢獻》。4年多來，全球100多個國家和國際組織積極響應和支持，聯合國大會和安理會多次將其納入相關決議，“一帶一路”建設逐漸從理念轉化為行動，從愿景轉變為現實，正在打造成為順應經濟全球化潮流的最廣泛國際合作平臺，讓共建“一帶一路”更好造福各國人民。那么“一帶一路”相關的英文翻譯都是什么呢?

一、在對外公文中，統一將“絲綢之路經濟帶和21世紀海上絲綢之路”的英文全稱譯為“the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road”，“一帶一路”簡稱譯為“the Belt and Road”，英文縮寫用“B&R”。
